Males and females of Lutzomyia fluviatilis have been collected in CDC light traps in Brazil (Ready et al. 1983).

Medical Importance

Trypanosomes were isolated from a single female of L. fluviatilis collected at Jari, Para, Brazil (Ryan et al. 1987c)." (Young & Duncan 1994:110).
