Bionomics
Larvae found in still, shaded, dark, acidic water with emergent vegetation
or numerous leaves in the water. Habitats include freshwater swamps,
jungle pools, large isolated stream pools. Adults are exophagic night

Medical Importance
Primary malaria vector in Malaysia.
