Bionomics
Little is known about the bionomics of Galindomyia. Larvae and adults have been collected from crab-holes with brackish water in Colombia and males have been collected in light traps in Ecuador.

2. Flagellomere 1 more than twice as long as flagellomere 2,
3. Erect scales of head restricted to occiput only.

Recommended characters:
4. Prespiracular setae absent,

6. Lower mesepimeral setae present,
7. Postspiracular setae absent.
